Prayer Group
Prayer Groups are a vital part of our Syro Malabar tradition. These groups provide parishioners with opportunities to build stronger spiritual and social bonds through prayer, fellowship, and shared activities. They help nurture faith within families while strengthening unity within the parish community.
General Guidelines for Parish Members
- All parish members are encouraged to belong to one of the Prayer Groups.
Members are encouraged to attend prayer meetings regularly.
Volunteers are requested to offer their time and service during their group’s assigned turn at church.
Families are encouraged to host prayer meetings in their homes whenever possible.
Order of the Prayer Meeting
The gathering begins with an opening hymn.
The Rosary is prayed together.
A Bible reading is followed by reflection and sharing.
Christian activities such as devotional songs, religious presentations, and simple fellowship games may be included.
The meeting concludes with a house blessing.
Through these gatherings, Prayer Groups foster spiritual growth, mutual support, and a deeper sense of belonging within the parish community.
